Terry Dean joins the Canadian Lung Association as Senior Vice President, Federation Development and Partnerships

Ottawa - The Canadian Lung Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Terry Dean as Senior Vice President, Federation Development and Partnerships, as of January 19th, 2015.

“Terry is an accomplished and dynamic executive with over twenty years of progressive experience leading strategic initiatives and programs in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. He brings considerable experience in partnership and fund development, project management, program development, and brand development,” says Debra Lynkowski, president and CEO of the Canadian Lung Association.

Terry joined the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in 2002 where he was the National Director of the Health Check™ Program and The Heart Truth Program.  Prior to joining the  Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Terry worked with Mead Johnson Nutritionals (a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Ltd) where he was the Director of National Sales and Business Development, responsible for leading the identification of successful national sales opportunities for hospital, physician and retail sales divisions.  

He has also worked for other consumer packaged goods companies such as Canadian Home Products and The Quaker Oats Company.  Terry studied at the Laurentian University in Sudbury where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). Terry’s particular strengths in negotiation, third-party partnership development, and building teams have contributed to his very successful career trajectory.

Terry lives in Ottawa with his wife and four children.
