Invisible. Odorless. Deadly.
Radon kills almost 3,000 Canadians each year. But not everyone can afford the cost of radon mitigation.
About the LUNGS MATTER program
Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. In fact, almost 3,500 Canadians die of radon-related lung cancer every year. High radon levels are especially dangerous for children, people who smoke and people living with lung disease.
But not everyone can afford the cost of radon mitigation. Your support of the Lungs Matter National Home Radon Mitigation Grant Program will help someone who has been diagnosed with lung cancer or a low-income household reduce the risk from this invisible killer.
As a National Mitigation Sponsor, every $1,500 you contribute helps cover the cost of radon mitigation for one deserving household anywhere in Canada or in a province or territory of your choice.
