The Canadian Lung Association announces 2011-12 Board of Directors

The Canadian Lung Association is pleased to announce the election of Richard Shuhany as the Chair of the CLA Board of CLA Directors for the 2011/2012 year.

Mr. Shuhany, C.A., has been a past chairperson and member of the Board of Directors of the Lung Association of Alberta & Northwest Territories. Mr. Shuhany joined the CLA Board of Directors in 2008 and was elected to the CLA’s Executive Committee in 2009. Mr. Shuhany is president of Shuhany and Company, as well as First Surveillance Inc. He is also a board chair and chief financial officer for Blue Goose Biorefineries Inc. and Nano-Green Biorefineries Inc.

Executive Committee members elected at the Association’s June 2011 annual general meeting and members of the Board of Directors for 2011/2012 are as follows:

The Canadian Lung Association would also like to thank long-standing board member and former chair Keith Murray, who is stepping down this year, for his contributions.

The Association extends a warm welcome to its new board member, Anne Marie Downey, chair of the Alberta and Northwest Territories Lung Association.
