Qualification for FULL membership to CRHP

A member in good standing of a recognized clinically based discipline
(e.g., registered nurse, physiotherapist, respiratory therapist, pharmacist, dietician, occupational therapist, social worker, psychologist), and:

  • A primary role in education, patient care, research or management in respiratory care;
  • An interest in the promotion of lung health and the prevention, management, treatment, rehabilitation, research or surveillance of respiratory disease; and
  • A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

FULL membership entitles the member to the following rights and privileges:

  • Eligibility to apply for CRHP Research Grants and Fellowships
  • Eligibility to apply for CRHP Regional Funding grants
  • Discounted registration fees at CRHP sponsored events, eg. annual Canadian Respiratory Conference
  • Membership publications: an online subscription to the Canadian Respiratory Journal and quarterly CRHP members’ newsletter: Airwaves
  • Monthly CRHP membership electronic bulletin
  • Opportunity to contribute to membership publications and e-bulletin
  • Leadership opportunities to serve on the CRHP Leadership Council and/or to participate in working groups and subcommittees
  • Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting

Qualification for ASSOCIATE membership to CRHP

  • Educators with respiratory designation but without credentials from a recognized clinically based discipline (as described above)
  • Students registered in a program to qualify to practice as a member of a clinically based discipline (as described above)
  • Physicians
  • Respiratory health professionals not in active practice

An Associate member must also be:

  • interested in the promotion of lung health and the prevention, management, treatment, rehabilitation, research or surveillance of respiratory disease; and
  • a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

ASSOCIATE membership entitles the member to the following rights and privileges:

  • Discounted registration fees at CRHP sponsored events, eg. annual Canadian Respiratory Conference
  • Quarterly CRHP member newsletter: Airwaves
  • Monthly CRHP membership electronic bulletin
  • Opportunity to contribute to Airwaves and e-bulletin
