Our research

Apply for funding

The Canadian Lung Association funds research and research training through its medical allied health societies at the national level.

Funding for the medical and scientific community - Canadian Thoracic Society
Funding for members of the Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals

Funding sources

All funding, excepting partnership dollars for research and specific projects, is raised by the provincial Lung Associations. A research assessment is forwarded to the Canadian Lung Association by all provincial Lung Associations to fund the National Research Programs; therefore all provincial Lung Associations fund research via the National Research Program. The majority of the provincial Lung Associations also use a portion of the funds raised to support a research program at the provincial level.
